A LUXURY Shropshire hotel is continuing its programme of investment with a further £70,000 development of its facilities over the coming months.

This development is just the latest investment at Macdonald Hill Valley Spa, Hotel and Golf – last year (2012) £500,000 was spent on upgrading the spa, including doubling the number of treatment rooms and introducing a Rasul facility and exclusive spa lounge, and this year the venue’s sports bar has already been refurbished.

Over the next few months the Whitchurch hotel will have all its banquet chairs replaced, new televisions installed in all bedrooms, new curtains in the banqueting suite and all lounge furniture replaced.

A log cabin will also be erected halfway along the 18-hole Emerald golf course to serve food and drink to players.

“We are delighted to be able to keep reinvigorating the facilities we have to offer our guests at Hill Valley,  whether they’re coming for a relaxing spa break, enjoying a round of golf or have done us the honour of holding their wedding here,” said Terence Southward, General Manager.

“Due to the success of the resort over the last 18 months we are able to keep investing in the property. Over the past 12 months around £700,000 has been invested in our hotel to ensure we are able to continue offering the world class service Macdonald hotels and resorts are renowned for.”
